Days of storm were there
Yet her hazel eyes laid a tranquil mode.
A women with no fears or tears
She holds a freewill too.
Her veil, her ‘hijab’;
Defines how modest and warm she’s!
She’s the child of Allah
Who is divine in her thoughts.
She dances, hula-hoops
Plays fiddle and is an athlete.
She steals the limelight
She’s a wave with crests and troughs.
Her attire, whether hijab, niqab or burka
She chooses to portray herself.
She ain’t oppressed or confined,
But she defines the doors to freedom.
She offer her honest prayers
With palms open to earn blessings.
Her consciousness blended with spirituality
She loses herself in ‘namaz’.
Her smiles spreading magic
She has found life’s treasures.
She is light and wisdom
She defines the doors to freedom.
