Devotee:
My palms are folded in devotion
My lips chants holy prayers,
I worship thee idol
Abide with me, oh Lord!
Lord:
Neither do I dwell in idols,
Nor in Temple, Mosque or Chapel.
Still your plea is heard
You may unfold your agony.
Devotee:
I’ve found my chests of treasures
Still my miseries weigh lot more.
I’m sitting in mere bleakness,
Thinking what went wrong?
Lord:
Anything in abundance is dicey
Moderation in life but divine.
Share your treasures with the penniless
Your miseries be light as a feather.
Devotee:
My palms smell of sins
From my tales with miserable ends.
Where do Oh’ Lord,
I find my true salvation?
Lord:
Man has chained err with him
Err, but tried to wake him up.
Fathoming your sins and self-reproach
Is where true salvation begins.
Devotee:
Yet to appease you oh’ Lord
May I do the ritual,
By sacrificing an animal
And serving it to you?
Lord:
How does taking others life
Could appease me?
The solution to a sin,
Is not a second sin!
Devotee:
Forgive me, my sweet Lord.
I bow down to you
For my impious words,
My merciless thoughts.
(No answer from Lord)
Devotee:
Oh Lord! You’ve vanished,
Your voice faded
You left me in black
Where do I search for you now?
Devotee’s soul as Lord:
I’m always here
Residing within you.
Open your inner eyes
And listen quietly to your soul.
”To perceive Lord Almighty
Look profoundly into your soul.
The superior human in you,
Is the ultimate Lord of all.”
