Solitude, shedding a smile
Took my arms and walked into dark.
Consoled me with wretched memories;
My mind pushed to have it all.
Lonesome moments grinned at me
Tears rolled down my cheeks, crossed my dimple and died.
You hit me when I am sole,
Dragged me into the pitch black pit of woes.
Why? Solitude like a sharp sword
Shedding red in my heart,
Shutting dreams in my eyes,
Pinned me to a secluded zone.
Time passed on…
My arms started wrapping you
And adored your warmth.
My ‘pretended’ friend kept me close
And gifted me hideous scars.
Now I am left with only a severed soul to whisper
Solitude…you are my pal!
